Gourmet Coffee

Two main types of coffee are grown in the world. Arabica and Robusta.

Robusta Coffee is the cheaper version and is noted for its strong body. Most Expresso coffees are made from robusta.

Gourmet Coffee is derived from Arabica Coffee. Depanding on soil and climate conditions, the aroma and flavour of Arabica varies around the world. Only certain regions of the world produce arabica coffee that can be considered gourmet coffee.

The Indonesian Archipelago comprising 11,000 islands is the second largest producer of coffee in the world. 90% of Indonesia Coffee is Robusta coffee. The remaining 10% is Arabica. However, of the 10% Arabica coffee produced by Indonesia, 3 are ranked among the top seven gourmt coffees in the world.

Sundrop Gourmet canned coffee is made from blends of Toraja, Mandehling and Java Coffee. A specially developed process is used to recover the topnotes and aroma of the coffee for blending into the finished product. The product is Ultra High Heat Treated to given a long shelf life of up to two years without refrigeration.
